Wonderful Place, wonderful host My wife and I stayed here one night on our pilgrimage to see the town from the movie Chocolat, a meaningful film for us. In short our stay was exquisite. The hostess and owner Marie made us feel instantly at home. She showed us our room which was delightfully in the top floor where all of the old looms and thread spools resided under a roof of hand-hewn beams. We had a nice time talking and mentioned this was our 30th anniversary. The next morning we were enchanted by the candlelit breakfast she prepared for us specially. We talked for hours and truly enjoyed hearing her unique and amazing story. Modern bathroom, lovely antiques, one-of-a-kind setting and home. Not to be missed!

Gorgeous afternoon What an incredible place to discover, tucked away and beautifully discreet in style and decor retaining many of the former fittings. Not your usual tea house. The fireplace looked amazing - apparently, it's italian archiecture. We chatted with one of the sons of this family business - he was bright eyed and charming. His mama also talked with us about the food and background to the business. We had their selection of their delkicious plates on offer freshly made. Such a delight for the afternoon. If you quirky comfort, come here to relax!

Warm welcome, exquisite food, rooms with character. Flavigny is a time wrap and la maison du Tisserand is exactly what you can hope for in such a marvellous environment. We stayed two nights and were welcomed, late afternoon, by a warm log fire and the table already dressed for our evening meal. The food is organic and deliciously cooked. Both carnivores and vegetarians can be accommodated with exquisite dishes which are beautifully prepared and presented. The scones we received at breakfast were among the best I have ever tasted (and I have spent many holidays in Devon, the county of scones) The rooms are quiet and decorated with taste (antique furniture). The house accommodates a tiny grocery shop with high quality organic food. The host family is very generous, the place a real gem!

A magical place We loved every single minute of our visit to Flavigny and to Marie's wonderful bed and breakfast. The bedroom was very comfortable and we woke in the morning to the sounds of birds and cows and the smells of Marie's wonderful scones in the oven. We had best meals of our entire visit to France here. The views from the balcony are beyond compare--bucolic and vast. Marie shared her vast knowledge of Burgundy with us and we loved our conversations with her. When it was time to leave, I honestly was very close to bursting into tears. Love love love.

Three nights in Flavigny This is a B & B set in the private home of Marie, in the heart of Flavigny, Burgundy. The home is small and rustic, as you would expect in this ancient hilltop village. Marie is delightful and only too willing to make your stay as you would like it. The bedroom is small with large ensuite bathroom ( shower only which we like). Bed is very comfortable, with lovely linen. The house has a smokey smell, due to the large open fire in the dining room and Marie has two dogs which you see at times. Breakfast is typical French fare, but Marie will cook eggs for you at your request. There is a car park right outside the door and the patio has an amazing view across the valley.

Wonderful stay in beautiful village We just had a wonderful couple of days in this beautiful little village. Our lovely host Marie was so attentive and determined to make sure her guests have a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The house is beautiful with a lovely open fire that was lit both at breakfast and dinner. The room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Marie is a wonderful cook and she put out a lovely breakfast each day for us and we had an evening meal on one of the nights, which had to have been one of the best of our week! It was delicious and such good value. My partner is vegetarian and she went out of her way to make a tasty veggie dish for him. We love the village of Flavigny and our stay with Marie made the experience even better. We will be back!
